Well that’s so interesting. Yes, I found that churches here in the U.S that are regarded by evangelicals as “Liberal Mainliners” have not resolved this issue at the parish level. Even in denominations that allow gay marriage and ordination. The evangelicals in those parishes create an anxious system. So there is no “resolution” of the issue by denominational decision — it only make it possible for some parishes in the denomination to do same-gender weddings, etc. Similarly there remains a considerable glass ceiling for ordained women. Nothing worth doing comes easy.
