This is precisely the kind of response within Evangelicalism that I’m talking about in the post: An assertion of the traditional view with a corresponding assertion of love for gay people. But my point remains: no context within most to all Evangelical churches where there is open dialogue, conversation, studying together, consideration of differing viewpoints. That doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of pot-shot “conversing” on blog posts, FB, etc. That is what it is — mostly a great deal of posturing and people talking past each other in the anonymity of social media. I don’t like to make let this blog become a forum for that sort of thing…. but I thought I’d post this as an example of what is heard within Evangelicalism when the issue comes up.
