Mike Antonacci, I checked your book out on Amazon, and see that you attend a Vineyard church. You would know that the younger generation of leaders (now in their 40’s) in Vineyard were mostly silent (the prominent ones were ALL silent) when VUSA outed my co-pastor, Emily Swan, and came down hard on LGBTQ people, and wrote a “policy statement” that they now hide. I could name several of the younger leaders who privately told me they agreed with me that these policies are harmful, but they have outsourced their conscience, and keep the peace which requires being silent bystanders while vulnerable people are stigmatized, subjected to psychological torture, etc. Vineyard churches are not safe for LGBTQ people. Does your local Vineyard church reveal it’s stigmatizing/harmful policies, or like most, do they hide these policies? I’d be less direct and challenging if you hadn’t said, “I agree 100% with what you said, brother.” I withdraw my claps.
