Mark, no one has ever asked but, but since you did, three things: 1. invest in training board/vestry on norms for conducting business to reduce the life-sucking dramas that can afflict churches, often involving the board/vestry 2. Focus on the older generation (grandparents) but with innovation that can spillover to younger generations. Such as: fundraise to hire excellent Sunday school leaders so there is always high quality people paying attention to kids, knowing that many of the kids will be grandkids of members; invest in high quality zoom-hybrid services (in person church that incorporates zoomies into the service--it can be done, so zoom experience is not like "watching other people at church"; because older members often can't get to church; but this opens a doorway of connection for others as well, not just elderly/infirm.
