I would hope for a split so that LGBTQ kids and adults won’t be subjected to the stigmatizing policies are being the subject of a big family fight. But I’m not optimistic than many UMC clergy or congregations will sacrifice pensions and buildings, which tend to be the tail wagging the dog. Dear God, I hope I’m wrong on that.
