I was an evangelical pastor who changed his mind on LGBTQ. In the process there were people very dear to me who misled me (see? I don’t even want to say “lied.”) Later, I felt so duped and self-blaming for letting myself be misled. In retrospect, how could I have missed it, and so on. This response must be so common for people in abusive relationships, etc. This article was so helpful to read in light of that. Thanks.
