Help me understand: are the reconciling congregations all performing same gender weddings and ordaining (or willing to ordain) gay clergy who are in same-gender marriages? And are the congregations committed to staying together even if the UMC disciplines them, committed to giving up the building if it is taken away, with the clergy committed to giving up pensions if need be. In other words, is it “We are with you, no matter what happens” …Or is it something different than that?
