Best thing I've read on this topic is That All Shall Be Saved by David Bentley Hart (also a great transaltion of the NT by Hart which does a great job on the clobber texts.) He points out something that affirms your understanding: that human free will is a limited-temporal agency and could never justify and eternal punishment. LIke "homosexual" as a bad translation of 1 Cor. 6:9, "hell" is a bad translation of gehenna and hades. Translations matter! I love your writing.
